2002 Buick Park Avenue

2002 Buick Park Avenue
Larger wheels, lower profile tires and chrome accents complement the Últra's 240-horsepower supercharged engine. On the inside, elegant luxury remains Park Avenue's trademark with new Burled Walnut Woodgrain, updated instrument panel graphics and bright aluminum sill plates. 2002 Buick Park Avenue
The aggressive vertical-bar grille, inspired by Buick's 2000 concept car, the LaCrosse, integrates a new chrome see-through tri-shield badge in the center. This grille is a modern interpretation of a design created for the famous 1938 Buick Y-Job concept car by Harley Earl, General Motors' first design chief. The new monochromatic tri-shield badge is on the trunk lid as well. Fender portholes Portholes, another classic Buick design feature, are reappearing for the first time since the 1980s. Three functional, chrome-plated portholes on each front fender give the vehicle a powerful look and allow additional air to flow through the engine compartment. Chrome-plated exhaust tips are also standard for 2003 and are custom-designed for the Últra.

Contemporary interior features
Changes to the Park Avenue Últra interior create a rich sense of style. New Burled Walnut Woodgrain can be found on the steering wheel, instrument panel trim and door trim. The optional convenience console increases front-seat storage space and creates an elegant five-passenger seating environment. Bright aluminum sill plates line the floor on the front-door openings. Headrests are embroidered with the Buick tri-shield. An updated instrument panel with contemporary gauge-cluster graphics enhances the premium appearance of the Últra's interior.
