BUICK CENTURY FOR CENTENNIAL: AFFORDABLE LUXURY

For the 2003 model year, Century, one of Buick's volume leaders, continues to build on its reputation for affordable luxury and reliability. The six-passenger sedan now offers a new graphite and chrome grille, chrome door-header moldings and new body-colored fascias and side moldings.
'As Buick begins to mark its centennial in 2003, we're providing touches of additional elegance to the exterior of Century,' said Mark Hines, Century marketing director.




The Century continues to offer OnStar, which comes with one year of safety and security service as standard equipment. OnStar is the nation's leading provider of in-vehicle safety, security and information services, using the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite network and wireless technology. OnStar services include automatic notification of air bag deployment, stolen vehicle location, remote door unlock, emergency services dispatch, roadside assistance, remote diagnostics, route support, convenience services and OnStar Concierge.

For added safety and convenience for parents and their youngest passengers, Century contains child seat attachments in the three rear seat positions. The system, called LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren), has six metal hooks designed to help adults easily and safely attach child safety seats. Dual-stage front air bags are standard, and a driver's side-impact air bag is optional with the leather-trimmed interior. Century standard features include V6 engine, automatic transmission, six-passenger seating, dual-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, power windows, power door locks and remote trunk release.



Refined V6 power and other new features
Century is powered by the 3100 3.1L V6 engine that delivers 175 hp at 5200 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. Estimated fuel economy is 20 mpg in city driving and 29 mpg on the highway.
