VOLVO CARS OF NORTH AMERICA ANNOUNCES PRICING, FULL DETAILS OF 2015.5 MODEL LINEUP

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Aug 22, 2014) – Coming off the heels of the most significant product refresh in company history, the launch of the powerful and fuel efficient Drive-E powertrains, and the introduction of the V60 sportswagon, Volvo's transformation continues to unfold with the launch of the model year (MY) 2015.5 vehicles. Leading the updates for MY 2015.5 is Volvo's Sensus Connect, Volvo's connected car platform and Volvo On Call telematics solution, which allows for comprehensive connectivity and makes Volvo the only manufacturer to have connected car and telematics standard across the entire lineup. Offering customers cloud- and app- based services to make their travels – and life – easier and more enjoyable, Sensus Connect with Volvo On Call enhances the in-car infotainment experience. Additionally, with the Volvo On Call smartphone app (available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone), also standard, customers can perform remote engine start and vehicle lock and unlock, as well as emergency operations for automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle tracking, and theft notification. For MY2015.5, navigation has moved to the mid-level premier trim level (previously on the high-level platinum trim level). Additionally, it is standard on the S80, as well as the T6 versions of the S60, XC60 V60, and the XC70. Harmon Kardon premium sound is new to the MY2015.5 feature list. The premium sound system is standard in platinum trim levels, and is also available as a standalone option. Volvo has simplified its trim level options to two (premier and platinum). Keyless drive is now available as a standalone option and is also available in the newly-created convenience package (which includes rear park assist camera, Homelink remote garage door opener, digital compass, grocery bag holder, and power retractable outside mirrors).
