Renault returns to the Eden Project this summer as Official Car Partner of the Eden Sessions. Throughout the summer months Renault will be showcasing its full line-up of 100 per cent electric vehicles at world-class concerts held at the globally-renowned attraction in Cornwall.
Renault will use the sponsorship to demonstrate and promote their Z.E. electric vehicle range of the ZOE hatchback, Kangoo Van Z.E. and Twizy quadricycle to reach new audiences in the South West and beyond.
A Renault ZOE, surrounded by flowers in its very own 'flower zone' from the Eden Project, can be found at three concerts in June and July and visitors to the display will be able to enter a competition to win tickets to a concert of their choosing at the Eden Sessions next summer. All visitors have to do is take a selfie with the ZOE in the 'flower zone' and post it to Instagram or Twitter.
Adam Wood, Marketing Director, Renault UK, said: 'As electric vehicle market leaders in Europe, Renault is passionate about zero tailpipe emissions vehicles and the great benefits they have for the environment, air quality, running costs and driver enjoyment. We've always enjoyed partnering with the Eden Project and its Eden Sessions summertime concerts and we're looking forward to returning once again this year.'
The Eden Sessions are a series of outdoor concerts at the Eden Project, featuring some of the best acts in the world playing against the backdrop of Eden's famous Biomes. In 2018, acts include Massive Attack (15th & 16th June – sold out), Queens of the Stone Age (3rd July – sold out), Bjork (7th July – sold out), and for the first time a one-day version of the award-winning grass roots festival Beautiful Days called 'A Beautiful Day Out' (23rd June).
As part of its sponsorship of the Eden Sessions 2018, Renault will be present with its ZOE and the 'flower zone' at a number of concerts including Gary Barlow (6th June – sold out), Ben Howard (30th June – sold out) and Jack Johnson (5th July – sold out). The Eden Sessions enter their seventeenth year in 2018.
Eden has long been a supporter of electric cars and has hosted events to showcase some of the ground-breaking vehicles now available. The project also has charging points for electric cars available for its visitors.
Renault is the leader in EV sales in Europe – ZOE is Europe's best-selling all-electric passenger car and the Kangoo Van Z.E. is the best-selling electric LCV. The award-winning Renault Z.E. range consists of the ZOE hatchback, the Twizy – a fun, distinctive, urban runaround – and the Kangoo Van Z.E. – a commercial vehicle that is identical to a normal Kangoo Van but with all the advantages of an EV, including no tailpipe emissions. Renault is a pioneer of the electric vehicle market with more than 100,000 EVs sold worldwide to date.

We have built up a strong partnership with them, and our Renault zero-emissions vehicles fit perfectly with the Eden ethos. Their presence at the Sessions gives our visitors a chance to see electric vehicles 'in the flesh' and talk to experts about the benefits of green motoring.'
