2004 BUICK LESABRE CELEBRATES TWO INDUSTRY MILESTONES

Celebrating the Buick LeSabre's 11th straight year as the best-selling full-size car in the Ú.S. market, a Celebration Edition of LeSabre is again being offered for the 2004 model year.

The Celebration Edition, highly popular in the 2003 model year, returns with all the features of the LeSabre Limited plus a blacked-out grille, 16-inch chrome-plated wheels, outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators, special interior trim and a choice of Crimson Pearl, Light Bronzemist or new White Gold Flash premium exterior paint.

Other features include StabiliTrak, an advanced integrated vehicle stability control system that helps the driver maintain control in a skid or slide, and a head-up display for in-line monitoring of instrumentation readouts. Buick plans to build 15,000 Celebration Editions for the 2004 model year.

For 2004, new features in LeSabre models include enhanced acoustic material in the doors, quarter panels and trunk area to further improve quietness; three added exterior colors - Platinum Metallic, Glacier Blue Metallic and Steelmist Metallic; and a new Harmony seat cloth offered with all interior color schemes.

LeSabre, offered in Custom and Limited models as well as the Celebration Edition, is again powered by Buick's highly acclaimed 3.8L 3800 V-6 engine coupled to an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. (posted on conceptcarz.com) The engine turns out 205 horsepower (153 kw) at 5200 rpm and 230 lb.-ft. (312 Nm) of torque at 4000 rpm. Estimated fuel economy is 20 miles per gallon city and 29 highway.

Known for its reliability, safety and security, LeSabre continues to be very well equipped with standard features such as power windows, cruise control, daytime running lamps, anti-lock brakes and 'catcher's mitt' high-retention outboard seats with self-aligning headrests for improved protection in rear impacts.

The LeSabre Custom 1SE Package includes a driver information center, inside rearview electrochromic mirror, six-speaker Concert Sound II audio system, steering-wheel controls, 15-inch aluminum multi-spoke wheels, traction control, illuminated vanity mirror and theft-deterrent features.

The LeSabre Limited Prestige Package includes the Custom Package content as well as electronic automatic dual-zone climate control, leather-trimmed seats, 10-way-adjustable power driver and passenger seats including power recliners, driver four-way power lumbar control, heated front seats, AM/FM CD and cassette audio system, and steering wheel controls. The package also includes an inside rearview mirror with integral compass, dual heated power outside mirrors, seat-mounted side air bags, moisture-sensing wipers, OnStar direct-link driver assistance and navigation system, and a universal transmitter for activating remote systems such as garage door openers.
