1937 Dodge Model MC Half-Ton news, pictures, and information

Panel Delivery

The Dodge Model MC half-ton was introduced in 1933, right at the depth of the Great Depression. The panel delivery vehicle had a distinctive two-level 'humpback' body design that provided additional cargo space in the rear compartment. Access was through double rear doors. This model would be part of the series through 1938.

These useful vehicles were popular for transporting fresh fruits and vegetables, along with having many other practical uses.

The 1937 Dodge Model MC had a 116-inch wheelbase and a length of 197.13 inches. Power was from a L-head six-cylinder engine rated at 75 horsepower. Mated to the engine was a three-speed manual gearbox and at all four corners were hydraulic drum brakes.
