Volvo introduced the P1800 in 1961 and by 1964, styling modifications were relatively minor. In the front was an oval crosshatch grille. The word 'VOLVO' could be found on the rear deck. They had a sharply slanted windshield, a wraparound back bumper, and a wedge-shaped emblem on the nose. The engine was a 1778cc four-cylinder unit offering nearly 110 horsepower and 110 lbs-ft of torque. The Volvo 1800 gained true notoriety when it was driven by James Bond in 'Goldfinger'.
