Thomas Scott Collection of Classic American Automobiles to be On Offer at No Reserve at Russo and Steele's 2015 Monterey Collector Automobile Auction Event

Scottsdale, Arizona (July 18th, 2015) – Thomas Scott is an accountant and entrepreneur from Athens, Georgia who has had a love for all things automotive for as long as he can remember. He possesses a lifetime of passion for buying, selling and working on classic American cars.

'I started out with the muscle cars — the Mopars, the Cobra Jet Mustang, the Chevelle,' Scott says. 'Those are cars that everybody recognizes — they're widely popular and very tradeable.' However, as Scotts automotive atmosphere began to expand, he began to discover a gem that would soon become his primary marquee. 'I came across a very original Buick Riviera as part of another extensive collection', Scott recalls. 'I realized how incredibly cool and different they were for their time and on top of that, they're very streetable, easy to drive and easy to enjoy. Riviera's are truly wonderful machines'.

What started with one very original 1964 Riviera for Scott, turned into a quest to collect at least one example of each body style from the classic Riviera era. The cars have clearly benefited from long-term enthusiast ownership — he bought nearly all of them from Riviera Owners Association members.

'Every car in my collection has been its own incredible ownership experience,' Scott remembers. 'It's been wonderful to take them to car shows and show them off, but I have also enjoyed owning and using these cars. I'm certain that their next lucky caretakers will continue to love and cherish these very special automobiles just as I have.'

Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions shares in and celebrates this type of passion at our core. From the concours field to the road rallies, from vintage racing to car clubs, it is at the center of our 'For Enthusiasts by Enthusiasts' mantra.

With this passion in mind, we are proud to offer at NO RESERVE the enchanting automobiles of The Tomas Scott Collection:

NO RESERVE Lot # 4010 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 RT Convertible

The car is well equipped with power steering, power brakes, a power operated top and a center console with a factory tach. Uniroyal redline radials on 15-inch rally wheels. The engine is the date-code correct, believed to be original engine (Mopar did not begin stamping VINs on their engines until 1968, so for 1967 'date code correct' is as close to numbers-matching as you can get).
