Barrett-Jackson Raises $605,000 For Charity With Help From Aaron Shelby, Greg Olsen During Northeast Auction

•Barrett-Jackson raised $605,000 for charity during the inaugural Northeast Auction

•The 2016 Shelby GT-H Mustang concept/prototype (Lot #3003) sold for $150,000 and was driven onto the block by Aaron Shelby, grandson of the late Carroll Shelby

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – June 26, 2016 – Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, helped raise $605,000 for charities that support U.S. veterans and their families, youth programs and medical research during its Northeast Auction, June 23-25, 2016, at Mohegan Sun. To date, Barrett-Jackson has helped raise over $90 million for charity.

'We love being a part of the kind of change that is both real and lasting for deserving people across the country,' said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. 'We consigned six vehicles that raised $605,000 with 100 percent of the sale of those vehicles benefitting charity. It was especially satisfying to have these cars cross the block in front of a sold out arena of fans who shared our enthusiasm for great cars and helping those in need.'

Aaron Shelby, grandson of the late Carroll Shelby and longtime fan and supporter of Barrett-Jackson, drove the 2016 Shelby GT-H Mustang concept/prototype (Lot #3003) onto the block. The 50th Anniversary Edition vehicle raised $150,000 with proceeds benefiting the Carroll Shelby Foundation.

'My grandfather consigned numerous vehicles at Barrett-Jackson to support a cause he dearly loved – supporting deserving youth in need of a heart transplant,' said Aaron Shelby, co-president of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. 'I'm grateful to be able to carry on that relationship with Barrett-Jackson through the sale of the 2016 Shelby GT-H concept/prototype vehicle.

Other vehicles that crossed the block to support specific charities included:

•2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Custom Motorcycle (Lot #3001) will benefit Wounded Warrior Project.- $40,000

•1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible (Lot #3002) benefited Wounded Warriors Family Support – $80,000

•1966 Ford F-100 Custom Pickup (Lot #3004) benefited The Hometown Foundation- $115,000
