Superb named BusinessCar's Best Upper-medium car for 2017
•Judging based on whole-life costs and driver appeal
Milton Keynes, 15 September: The ŠKODA Superb has added to its incredible list of industry accolades at the annual BusinessCar Awards. ŠKODA's flagship model proved unbeatable in the Best Upper Medium Car category, comfortably seeing off tough opposition to take top spot.
For 2017, the BusinessCar judging panel comprised eight industry experts specialising in different areas of the new car and fleet market. After crunching the whole life costs and data for each car and combining the results with real-world driving and ownership impressions, the winners were selected.
Commenting on the Superb's victory, Debbie Wood, BusinessCar's editor, said: 'In this class, size matters and the ŠKODA Superb's impressive practicality credentials really shine through compared with its rivals. Add to that the car's excellent residual values, sophisticated looks and incredible value for money, and you have an all-round best-in-class fleet contender - and the stand-out winner with our judges in the upper-medium category this year.'
Launched in 2015, the Superb has now won 27 key motor industry awards in the UK, including Auto Express Family Car of the year and What Car? Estate car of the year two years running. The Telegraph and The Sunday Times have also named the Superb as the best Family Car and Best Estate car on the market.
