Another €20 Million Auction For Coys In Monaco The Only Authentic Auction In Town

Over 100 fine historic, sports, touring and racing cars worth in excess of €20 million will go under the hammer on Friday in Monaco when COYS holds its famous auction at the Espace Fontvieille.
'It's the second time this year that we have been able to put together an auction of this magnitide,' said Chris Routledge from COYS,' and for the first time we are the only company with an auction in the principality on Friday.
Buyers from across Europe and around the world will attend the auction and Chris added: ' In the current market buyers are looking for quality and cars that will maintain and increase their value. So finding cars of the right quality and with interesting provenance is extremely important.
We were able to provide €20 million worth of quality vehicles for our sale in Essen and we have done it again.'
Included in the line up is an array of cars from a 1967 Lamborghini Miura P 400 to a Ferrari 308 previously owned by the Italian racing driver Michele Alboreto.
The Miura, owned by Texan Billionaire Hugh Halff Jr., for more than 20 years is in excellent condition and is estimated at €800,000. The Ferrari 308 estimated at €90,000 - €120,000 was a significant display at the drivers house for many years and was recently restored to new.
Also going under the hammer will be a number of the most collectable rally themed cars of the modern era steeped in racing history like an Alpine 1600SCs with a fascinating colour combination, it estimates about €100,000.
Also on offer is a brand new Tour De France 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB one of Ferraris 70th anniversary cars, each sporting a livery inspired by a year in the illustrious history of the marque. The bold blue GTB is a celebration of the 1956 250 Berlinetta Scaglietti. One of the first Berlinetta was owned by the Spanish racecar driver Marquis Alfonso de Portago who won the Tour de France endurance race. The car represents an opportunity to buy a true piece of Ferrari history.

A T70 MK 2 Spyder developed by world famous British racing car constructor LOLA in 1965, it had a high priced, race ready restoration; it will also be presented at €350,000 at the auction. Additionally, it was built in 1966 for the world championship of two-seater sports racing.
The auction also includes a vehicle from the Dott. Fabio collection which made its public debut in 1969 by being driven by Prince Rainier III at the Monaco Grand Prix. The Espada S1 has a unique Plexiglass roof and comprehensive background. The Lamborghini is a metallic masterpiece €550,000 - €750000.
