Barrett-Jackson To Help Fuel The Desire For Quality Hot Rods, Resto-Mods At 2019 Scottsdale AuctionSCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Nov. 27, 2018 – Barrett-Jackson will help fuel the desire for high quality and professionally built hot rods and Resto-Mods at its 48th Annual Scottsdale Auction, January 12-20, 2019, at WestWorld of Scottsdale. From high-profile hot rods like 'Twisted Mistress,' a '31 Ford Model A Custom Coupe (preview), to other beautifully hand-crafted customs such as a '39 Mercury 99A convertible (preview), the Scottsdale Auction will be an exciting opener for the 2019 collector car auction season.

'Over the past several years, demand for professionally built hot rods and Resto-Mods has grown exponentially among collectors,' said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. 'Not only do these incredible machines offer the nostalgia of classic marques, but they feature the modern luxuries and technologies we've come to expect from cars today. In Scottsdale, we'll have an incredible selection of ʼ30s, ʼ40s and ʼ50s era cars and trucks that became the canvas for many of these custom builds. Any one of these vehicles would make an ideal addition to a collection.'

Hot rods and Resto-Mods scheduled to cross Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale Auction block include 'X-Box,' a '55 Chevrolet 210 Sedan (preview) that combines modern-day power with yesterday's classic looks. Built on a Max-G Art Morrison chassis, this custom is part of the Bryan Frank Collection and is the product of over 100 modifications made over 6,000 hours. 'Transitions' is '54 Corvette (preview) built by Larry Griffey's Hot Rods & Restorations. It is a tribute to the GM Concept Corvette displayed as one of the 'Dream Cars' in the 1954 GM Motorama. Built over six years, it debuted at the 2017 Detroit Autorama and has been the recipient of countless awards.

- '66 Chevrolet Nova II SS (preview) – Built from the ground up by Kindig-It Design

- '55 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Post (preview) – 'Fierce Fifty-Five' was restored with no expense spared

- '31 Hudson Essex Sedan (preview) – Powered by a GM 350/300 V8 engine with custom interior features

- '33 Ford Roadster (preview) – A multiple ISCA Show award-winner

- '34 Ford 5-Window Coupe (preview) – Finished in El Dorado Plum with fully sculpted leather interior

- '59 Chevrolet Corvette (preview) – Eric Brockmeyer-designed 1959 custom with Art Morrison chassis

Highly anticipated truck-based Resto-Mods include a '67 Chevrolet C10 (preview) that was the 2018 Goodguys pick for best truck. Custom-built from top to bottom, this truck rides on Fox nitrogen shocks and is powered by a 383ci stroker engine with roller cam and roller rockers mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Another stunning custom C10, a 1969 model (preview), was hand-built by Discovery Channel's Diesel Brothers on Season Three over three episodes. Shaved and molded to perfection, this custom truck is powered by a twin-turbo Duramax diesel 6.6-liter race engine producing an estimated 800 to 1,000 horsepower.

- '48 Chevrolet 5-Window Pickup (preview) – 6-year nut-and-bolt restoration with custom finishes throughout

- '48 Diamond T 509H Slider Tow Truck (preview) – Equipped with 2000 International frame, Peterbilt sleeper

- '48 International KB2 Pickup (preview) – Driven less than 100 miles since its 6.5-year complete rebuild

- '56 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup (preview) – A laser-straight body with full custom interior features

- '36 Ford Custom Pickup (preview) – Started as a 3-window coupe and transformed into a Hot Rod Red truck
