• The latest PEUGEOT 308 SW and 3008 SUV models join the Barron McCann fleet
•£2 million investment in fleet upgrade
IT services specialist provider Barron McCann has taken delivery of a fleet of PEUGEOT cars that will be used across the company's UK business. The order, totalling 80 cars, includes 68 308 SW models that will be used by the company's engineers and 12 3008 SUV models that will be used by Barron McCann's team leaders.
All models are powered by the Euro 6.2-compliant BlueHDi 130 low-emission diesel featuring Selective Catalytic Reduction technology to ensure the lowest possible emissions. The 308 SW models all feature Allure specification with a mix of six-speed manual and eight-speed EAT8 automatic transmission.
Richard Johnson, Leader – Procurement & Supply Chain said; 'Our customers expect and deserve the very highest service levels and a modern, well-maintained vehicle fleet plays a critical role in delivering that performance. Each vehicle is equipped with technology which helps us to reduce travelling time and distance, provides driving efficiency recommendations, and minimises emissions when queueing in busy areas. In addition, we have specified driver aids such as blind spot assistance, front and back proximity sensors, reversing cameras and drive time indicators, all with the intent of improving the driving experience of our engineers. We are proud to be fleet partners once again with PEUGEOT.'
Standard 308 equipment includes: electric and heated door mirrors, multi-function trip computer, PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, remote central locking, 'Magic Flat' 60/40 folding rear seats, DAB radio, USB socket and Bluetooth® connectivity. Allure specification adds an alarm, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, Mirror Screen® with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto, Connected 3D Navigation, electric folding door mirrors, aluminium roof bars and 17' alloy wheels.
'The 308 SW has proved to be a popular choice for many fleets, providing flexible accommodation, driver appeal and low cost of ownership with low emissions', comments Martin Gurney, Fleet Director at PEUGEOT, Citroën and DS Automobiles. 'Not surprisingly, we think that Barron McCann has made an excellent choice and together with the 3008 SUV models present a modern, stylish fleet that will enhance the company's image.'
