Mitsubishi Motors In The UK Supports Jim Clark Rally With Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 Pick-UpsMitsubishi Motors in the UK have provided vehicle support for this year's Jim Clark Rally, the event took place over two days, starting on Friday 8th November 2019.

In conjunction with Tweedmouth Service Station, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK provided five new Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 pick-up trucks to support the Jim Clark Rally, which were used in various roles by the event organisers throughout the competition.

2019 marked the return of this classic event, which from 1997 until 2014 was the only closed-road rally staged on the UK mainland. This year over 100 competitors tackled 11 classic stages across Berwickshire in Scotland. The event runs in memory of the late two-time Formula One World Champion Jim Clark and utilises the roads that both he and Mitsubishi Motors legend, the late Andrew Cowan, would have driven many times.

Michael Binnie, with co-driver Claire Mole, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX claimed first place in Class 9 and sixth position overall, with first place overall and the Jim Clark Rally Championship claimed by Josh Moffett with co-driver Andy Hayes.

Michael Deans, Dealer Principal at Tweedmouth Service Station Mitsubishi in nearby by Berwick upon Tweed said 'It's fantastic that Mitsubishi Motors in the UK have decided to support this great event on its return to the UK motorsport calendar. This has always been one of the biggest motorsport events in the UK, with competitors, marshals and spectators traveling from all over the country.'

Not only does the company have a successful and rich heritage in the world of rallying but the Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 which we provided for the event has recently been awarded the prestigious 'Pick-up of the Year' award at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards.'
