Honda UK has today announced it is to partner with the 2020 Ideal Home Show, the UK's longest running expo, as official automotive sponsor. At this year's event, Honda will take visitors on a journey that showcases its new electric and hybrid models – for both road and garden. The production version of the Honda e, the all-new Jazz and Jazz Crosstar, a crossover SUV variant, as well as the Small Miimo, will all make their UK debuts at the show.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the fully electric Honda e and the new hybrid-powered Jazz and Jazz Crosstar at various touchpoints throughout this year's Ideal Home Show. Before visitors have even entered the show, they will be able to see the Jazz Crosstar, which will be outside by the main entrance. Then once inside, there will be a Honda e in the garage of the Ideal Home and a Jazz in the Quantum Lodge. Both cars will have experienced Honda brand ambassadors on hand who will be able to answer any questions visitors may have.
Located over by the Super Theatre, the official Honda stand will act as a hub for visitors wanting to find out more about the Honda e and both variants of the Jazz. For those visitors looking for a new car this spring, Honda brand ambassadors will be offering £800 gift cards to be redeemed against a purchase of either the Jazz or the Jazz Crosstar.
Fully committed to an alternatively fuelled future, Honda has accelerated its electric vision. By 2022, three years earlier than previously planned, all Honda's mainstream models will be electrified and there will be six new cars coming over the next 36 months.
To cater for the growing demand for electric cars, Honda will also feature its new home car charging solution, which will be powering the Honda e on the stand.
Finally, showcasing the depth and breadth of its multi-product line up, Honda will also debut the new Small Miimo, the newest member of its Miimo Robotic Mower range at the Future Living Home and the Quantum. The new autonomous mower arrives with a host of advanced features that will deliver a smart garden for a smart home, including connectivity with Amazon's Alexa for voice activated mowing. Better yet, visitors will benefit from an exclusive Ideal Home Show discount worth £200 off the price, when purchased at the show from a Honda representative.
'Honda UK is very excited to be the official automotive sponsor for the 2020 Ideal Home Show,' commented David Hodgetts, Managing Director of Honda UK. 'It comes at an interesting time for the business, as we launch a whole series of new electrified products across our different divisions that will provide a wider range of options to customers for both their personal mobility and their daily lives. The Show provides us with a great platform to interact with a wide range of people who may be new to the Honda brand and help them understand our current and future innovations for both road and garden.'
Giles Perry, Event Director at Media 10, organisers of the Ideal Home Show, added: 'We're pleased to welcome Honda as our official automotive sponsor at the Ideal Home Show this year, meaning our visitors will get hands-on experience with their amazing vehicles. We are excited to see the Honda e electric car. This is exactly the kind of technical innovation that we're looking to champion at this year's show, especially when it will have such a big impact on sustainability efforts – a key focus of ours.'
The Ideal Home Show will celebrate its 112th year in 2020. The UK's biggest and longest established expo attracts an average attendance of 229,223 and will run between March 27 and April 13 2020.
