Isuzu Celebrates Keeping Britain Connected With Top Class Conversions From CPL

by Isuzu | February 27, 2020
Isuzu (UK) Ltd has made one of its key convertors, CPL, a Platinum Partner in recognition of the way its access platform conversions have used the versatility of the Isuzu D-Max range to the benefit of both businesses and the public in the UK.
In addition to this successful longstanding relationship, the Platinum Partnership celebrates a significant increase in production in 2019. The 12 month period saw the number of conversions more than double, and the past few years have seen a number of substantial boosts to the relationship, including a contract between CPL and broadband provider Open Reach for the provision of 78 cherry pickers to help keep Britain's businesses and homes supplied with fast, reliable broadband.
The Isuzu D-Max's exceptionally lightweight chassis makes it an ideal conversion vehicle for CPL and its customers, plus Isuzu's flexibility and responsiveness as a company when it comes to matters such as suspension upgrades and warranty amendments have also been a key factor in the success of the relationship.
Isuzu Head of Marketing, George Wallis, said: 'CPL has always been an excellent company to work with thanks to their market-leading technical knowledge and expertise. They are an ideal partner for Isuzu when it comes to making the most of the D-Max's versatility in ways that have great practical benefits. The Platinum Partner award reflects this, plus our hopes for even greater things in the future.'

Market leader CPL was the first UK convertor to be approved by Isuzu. The access platform specialists convert up to 300 vehicles a year to function as cherry pickers, the majority of which are Isuzu D-Max pick-ups. The CPL conversion, which includes a 3.5 tonne suspension upgrade, has a working height of 13.1 m and a working outreach of 6.2 m. CPL have also designed a chipper tipper - known as an ATAT – mounted on an Isuzu D-Max, which has become a firm favourite with specialist professionals such as tree surgeons thanks to its 50 degree tipping body, 1300 kg payload and a 180 kg capacity secure aluminium locker at the rear of the cab.
