Back In Business: Kia Dealers Fully Reopen Their Doors In England

•Kia dealers in England given go ahead to fully reopen dealerships from 1 June

•Showrooms, services centres and MOT centres all to reopen

•Social distancing measures implemented across dealerships

Following the official COVID-19 update from the UK government, Kia Motors (UK) Limited is pleased to announce that Kia dealers across England will be fully reopening their doors from 1 June.

From 1 June, car dealerships will be fully reopened, including the showrooms, aftersales departments, service centres and MOT centres. Social distancing materials implemented throughout showrooms and service centres to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers who are visiting the dealership. These include screen guards, hand sanitiser stations, signage and floor graphics.

After months of lockdown and decreased driving, car owners are urged to check their cars thoroughly before getting back behind the wheel. Kia has created a series of animated how-to videos showing owners what and how to check key parts of their vehicles, the videos can be found here.

During the lockdown period Kia Motors (UK) Ltd. took a sympathetic view regarding access to servicing and the implications for the brands' industry-leading seven year warranty and advised customers that delayed servicing would be taken into account should warranty issues arise. That approach remains in place – though it is recommended that owners seek to contact their local dealer and schedule appropriate servicing as soon as is convenient for them and in line with expected heavy demand on workshops.
