• Mitsubishi Motors improves its ranking by eight places to eighth for Best Car Manufacturer in the Auto Express 2021 Driver Power survey
•Overall customer satisfaction rating of 87.38%
Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has improved its ranking in the Auto Express 2021 Driver Power Survey to secure a top ten placement in the best car manufacturers in the UK, being placed eighth position overall, an improvement of eight places from 2020 and 13 places from 2019.
The Auto Express 2021 Driver Power Survey, now in its 20th year, provides detailed responses from vehicle owners and this year introduces an additional focus on in-car technology and a new assessment for value for money.
Customers and drivers of Mitsubishi vehicles listed overall low running costs, including servicing and insurance, along with impressive reliability and good overall build quality as major plus points for the brand. Other areas in which the brand performed well were in practicality, with owners praising boot space and interior storage space, along with smooth gearboxes and user-friendly infotainment systems with good smartphone connectivity.
Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief, Auto Express said: 'Mitsubishi has done brilliantly to climb the Driver Power league table over the past few years and sit in an impressive eighth place this year. Its owners are clearly a happy bunch praising the reliability, quality and practicality of their cars and say that running costs are good, too. That all makes it more of a shame that the brand is withdrawing from the UK market later this year.'
Following the announcement that International Motors will take over the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK aftersales business in October, Mitsubishi drivers will see no difference in the standards of service they receive from Mitsubishi Motors in the UK and can continue to rely on their local Mitsubishi dealer for aftersales support.
