RM Sotheby's Returns To Monaco With An Impressive Two-Day Auction Offering The World's Finest

Taking place alongside the legendary Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, RM Sotheby's returns to the Grimaldi Forum from 10-11 May 2024 for an impressive two-day sale. A highlight of the auction calendar, 2024 will be RM Sotheby's seventh Monaco auction, and is shaping up to be the biggest and best since the inaugural event in 2010.
With the incredible Jody Scheckter Collection already announced, as well as the last ever Porsche 917 to race at Le Mans, the sale is attracting a diverse and significant selection of important motor cars.
One of the standout early consignments for the sale is the 2022 McLaren Elva. The lightest, most extreme road car McLaren has ever produced, delivering the purest possible driving experience, this example is chassis no. 1, in addition to being one of just 149 in existence and shows a mere 8km on the odometer, meaning it is presented in factory-fresh condition (Estimate: €1,100,000 - €1,500,000 EUR).
Also offered is a 1955 Porsche 356 Carrera 1500 GS Speedster by Reutter, a highly desirable car estimated to sell between €850,000 - €950,000 EUR, alongside a 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Series V Vantage, being an example that was originally delivered new to Paris (Estimate: €485,000 - €525,000 EUR). Project cars are always in demand, and one such car is the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 which was originally finished in Silver Birch over Dark Blue Connolly leather and is now offered in a shade of silver blue. This tempting Aston Martin provides a rare opportunity to acquire an intriguing restoration project (Estimate: €360,000 - €420,000 EUR).
Other early 'no-reserve' consignments include a 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish. Hailed as 'the ultimate grand tourer' by Road & Track magazine, this example has a documented service history by Aston Martin Monaco and an odometer reading of just 39,903 kilometres (Estimate: €70,000 - €100,000 EUR), and a desirable 'step-nose' 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce which has been in the same family ownership from new (Estimate: €50,000 - €60,000 EUR).
