As part of a year of celebrations of its 50th anniversary, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is pleased to announce a vehicle tour, to mark this significant milestone in the company's history. The Golden Jubilee Tour will take place on Saturday 21st September and feature 50 vehicles supplied through Mitsubishi's UK dealer network between 1974 and the present day.
Famous for the International Horse Trials that was sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK for 25 years consecutively, entrants will have the opportunity to drive through the estate's impressive grounds, before gathering at the finish in front of the historic Badminton House. The day concludes with refreshments, followed by a prize-giving ceremony when the owners of the winning cars in each category will be presented with an award.
Other features of the event include a commemorative finishers' award, an official photographer and, we are also delighted to be joined by Stephen Blackburn, son of the late David Blackburn, the co-founder of The Colt Car Company (now known as Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.). Additionally, there will be a special award for the 'best-dressed' crew, with drivers and passengers encouraged to wear outfits appropriate to the period of their car.
This prestigious event follows in the footsteps of the two previous vehicle tours organised by the company: the 40th Anniversary Tour held in 2014 and the Centenary Tour of 2017 which celebrated 100 years of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Both were heralded as a great success and enjoyed by all involved, so much so, they are still being talked about today.
Entries are open to owners of UK-specification Mitsubishi cars, LCVs, SUVs and 4x4s, who can apply by completing an online form. Each application will be assessed for suitability and relevance, in- keeping with the event's spirit and entry criteria.
