RM Sotheby's is delighted to announce an incredible selection of landmark automobiles coming to its inaugural Tegernsee auction. Held at the picturesque Lake Tegernsee, just 40 minutes outside Munich, this exciting new summer sale is set to become a regular fixture in the calendar, complementing the existing Munich sale which happens every November. The Tegernsee auction will take place during the brand-new Concours of Elegance Germany, which will bring some of the world's most desirable classics to Bavaria from 22-27 July.

Undoubtedly one of the stars of the sale is the iconic 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder by Wendler. One of just 90 of Porsche's ultralightweight 550 Spyder competition cars built, this example boasts period European racing history, including class podiums in Spain and Portugal. This fine 550 also retains its matching-numbers chassis, four-cam Carrera engine, and gearbox, and was the subject of a restoration by original coachbuilder Wendler and Porsche AG in the early 1990s (Estimate: €3,500,000 - €4,200,000 EUR).

Also heading to Tegernsee is a 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. Presenting the rare opportunity to acquire an as-new Stirling Moss, this car boasts a mere 45 kilometers on the odometer and is presented in unused condition throughout. This time warp example is finished in the metallic shade of Crystal Antimon Grey over a Black and Anthracite leather interior with complementary Silver Arrow Leather 300 SL Red accents. Produced at a time when the Spartan supercar concept was in its infancy, the Stirling Moss was arguably the trendsetter for the market (Estimate: €3,200,000 - €3,800,000 EUR).

For someone looking to add a brace of Bugatti's 21st-Century marvels to their collection, the auction offers spectacular examples of both a Chiron and a Veyron. The first is a 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport '110 Ans Bugatti'. One of just 20 built, this example was created as a tribute to Bugatti's 110th anniversary and a celebration of the marque's French identity. Exquisitely finished in matte Steel Blue paintwork and exposed Steel Blue Carbon over a Deep Blue leather interior, this special car has had just one owner from new with the odometer displaying a mere 1,461 kilometres (Estimate: €3,300,000 - €3,800,000 EUR). It is joined by the original world-record breaker, the 2010 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport 'Soleil De Nuit'. Delivered new to the Kuwaiti Royal Family, this example was a one-off Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport special edition created for the Middle East. Exquisitely finished in two-tone Black Blue Metallic paint and Polished Aluminum over a Burnt Orange leather interior, this is a remarkably rare opportunity to acquire a one-off version of the fabled Bugatti Veyron (Estimate: €1,500,000 - €2,000,000 EUR).

In 2004, Porsche unveiled the Carrera GT, a stunning combination of motorsport-derived technology and design that became one of the last great analogue supercars. With a V-10 engine derived from Porsche's Le Mans prototype mated to a manual gearbox and three-disc carbon-fibre racing clutch, the mid-engined, carbon-fibre monocoque supercar was nothing short of a triumph. Reading just 35,698 kilometers, this 2006 Porsche Carrera GT is finished in GT Silver Metallic over an Ascot Brown example is estimated to sell for between €975,000 - €1,275,000 EUR.
