Every detail of the ETM6 has been carefully considered, from ultra-modern design aesthetics to world-leading advanced technologies for electromobility that include the revolutionary BYD ePlatform developed exclusively for eTrucks. The result is an emissions-free truck, tailor-made for Europe, that is safe, efficient and practical for eco-friendly logistics, as well as being quiet for night-time distribution in urban areas. It is packed with a high specification of equipment as standard.
Tailor Made Design for Europe
Ultra-modern, comfortable cabin
The interior cabin mirrors the feel of the exterior, creating an ultra-modern space for up to 3 people, with a high-tech theme in a design that places the driver's comfort and needs first. The stylish cab, with ergonomically designed seats, offers superior levels of comfort and a high calibre finish with ample storage compartments. The cabin also becomes a mobile haven of advanced technology, including a 10.1inch Smart touchpad for information, entertainment and connected drive experiences, to make the driver's life easier.
BYD e-Platform developed exclusively for eTrucks
A globally renowned pioneering brand, BYD has developed a highly integrated e-Platform specifically for pure-electric trucks, as utilised by the BYD ETM6. Such deep integration, including a compact 5-in-1 controller, optimises performance and efficiency, while also reducing maintenance time, effort and costs. Significantly, BYD is the only NEV producer to have developed its own powertrain systems, power batteries, automotive semiconductors, motors and motor controller systems.
Safety is also enhanced with the Iron-Phosphate battery developed on the back of BYD's 29 years' experience in researching and producing power batteries. (LFP) as a cathode material offers a higher level of safety and stability compared with conventional lithium-ion batteries, and 100% cobalt-free, it is also an environmentally friendly choice.
The BYD eTruck Platform also comprises a body controller system and Smart Pad touchscreen providing real-time vehicle status information.
High-Tech standard specification with ADAS
The BYD ETM6 embodies a high-tech driving experience with an exceptional depth of advanced technology and intelligent driver assistance system for safety, convenience and comfort. Equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance) including Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Advanced Emergency Braking. Other equipment includes and electric parking brake, electric power steering, multi-function steering wheel, an 8inch info screen. The large 10.1-inch Touchpad is a focal point of connected and real-time information, with a direct feed of data from the body controller system.
Range and Charging
The BYD ETM6 has a range of up to 200km with a full load, with the convenience of DC (120 kW) charging (20% to 100%) in just one hour.

The technology inherent in the BYD ETM6 has a proven track record for reliability having operated in the European market for three years. Already, one customer has accumulated a total electric milage of more than 1 million km with their ETM6 fleet, reporting a significant reduction in their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The ETM6 has been designed in-house by Wolfgang Egger, BYD's Design Director, one of Europe's most esteemed vehicle designers. The eye-catching exterior adopts BYD's new design philosophy for eTrucks incorporating a subtly rounded front face and a diving waistline with dynamic lines giving the ETM6 a modern and streamlined appearance. The doors continue the dynamic theme for optimum effect, with concealed handles for reduced air-resistance. Angel Eye headlights provide a clear beam of light. The dimensions of the wheelbase make the ETM6 more manoeuvrable, making it a good option for urban driving. The chassis is also highly configurable for different applications.
