Mecum Auctions to Offer 1,000 Classic and Collector Vehicles in Las Vegas Oct. 17-19

Las Vegas Convention Center to Welcome Large Crowds of Enthusiastic Bidders, Spectators

Mecum Auctions will hold its eighth annual Las Vegas-based classic and collector car auction this Oct. 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center with an anticipated 1,000 vehicles on offer ranging from classic muscle and sports cars to Hot Rods, exotics, antique autos and more. Located in the Entertainment Capital of the World, the host venue is surrounded by countless things to see and do, and the auction itself will serve up a wealth of engaging auction action along with exhibitors, food vendors and more, including a truly wild selection of vehicles. Portions of the auction will be presented live on MotorTrendTV and Max.

With a huge variety of vehicles on hand at every Mecum auction, Las Vegas is no exception. However, uniquely reflecting the sometimes-raucous reputation of Sin City, the 2024 Vegas event is slated to feature some absolutely unruly custom rides. From the maniacal minds at Apocalypse Manufacturing is a 2022 Ford Bronco Dark Horse 6×6 SUV (Lot S240) that boasts a 2.7L/400 HP Darkhorse turbocharged V-6 engine and is one of just four built, while Excalibur of Milwaukee will send a very Vegas-appropriate stretch limousine (Lot F137) with a 12-passenger capacity that was built on a 1996 Lincoln Town Car stretch chassis conversion. Perhaps even more interesting is a selection of Vegas-bound off-roaders like the 2019 Sherp Pro Custom Amphibious All-Terrain Vehicle (Lot S46) that claims the ability to take on mud, snow, sand, rock, mountains and more while also bearing wheel attachments for a helicopter lift, or the 1948 CallAir YC4-2 Snowcar (Lot F40) that was used by the U.S. Postal Service in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

For the more traditional car buyers who are still interested in a bit of stylistic flair, a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette 3LT Hennessey Coupe (Lot S242), Serial No. 004, wearing a blinding coat of Accelerate Yellow will also be crossing the Vegas auction block, as will a rotisserie-restored 1970 Plymouth Cuda (Lot S218) boasting a 426 CI Hemi V-8 engine, 5-speed transmission and a bright orange finish.

Collection slated to present 20 fine classic rides and The Farleys Collection presenting 10 vehicles from pony cars like a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS (Lot S94) and a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 (Lot S91) to a trio of Chevrolet pickups ranging from a 1955 custom (Lot S93) to a pair of Silverados from 1987 (Lot S99) and 2004 (Lot S97).

Consignments currently hail from 29 states and are still being accepted for Mecum Las Vegas 2024; bidder registration is also strong with individuals from 49 different states currently participating.
