• This morning, the 60 members of the Car of the Year jury announced its seven finalists for the 2025 Car of the Year
• After extensive testing of a 42 model strong longlist, the All-New Dacia Duster stood out from the crowd
Announced this morning, the All-New Dacia Duster joins six other models to shortlisted for the 2025 Car of the Year. Being a finalist for the accolade is a first for the Dacia brand.
A true icon of the Dacia range, the All-New Duster's qualities closely align with the Car of the Year winning criteria.
According to the organisation itself, 'technological innovation and value for money are particularly important factors' for achieving Car of the Year. All-New Dacia Duster clearly meets these requirements.
TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
Based on the CMF-B platform, the All-New Duster benefits from electrified powertrains, such as the HYBRID 140. Its efficiency makes it possible to drive in all-electric mode up to 80% of the time in cities, which reduces fuel consumption by up to 40% on the urban cycle.
Innovation on the All-New Duster also include features that reduces its carbon footprint using recycled materials. This is most prominent with Starkle®, a pioneering fully recyclable plastic made from 20% recycled materials that is proudly used as part of the design on the exterior of the vehicle.
Further innovations include Dacia's YouClip system. It offers the possibility of personalising the interior with various accessories, such as a smartphone holder and a clever 3-in-1 cupholder.
VALUE FOR MONEY
Since its launch in 2010, the All-New Dacia Duster has attracted more than 2.5 million customers globally. It has been one of the best-selling B-SUVs in Europe since 2018 thanks to its excellent features and value for money.
The third generation of the Duster, starting from £18,745, continues to offer the best value for money for British drivers.
The Car of the Year trophy will be awarded at the Brussels Motor Show on Friday 10 January 2025.
