UK pricing and specifications announced for new Volkswagen Transporter

- Prices for the new Volkswagen Transporter start at £30,9951 for the TDI variant and £41,9651 for the BEV model, with order books opening from January 20252

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced UK pricing and specifications for the new Transporter Panel Van, starting from £30,9951 for the TDI model and £41,9652 for the fully electric variant.
The seventh-generation Transporter is designed to cater for every customer and UK buyers will be able to choose from three highly-specified trims – Commerce, Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro.
With more space, increased payload and greater economic efficiency, the new Transporter is designed for professionals, arriving with a remodelled professional cockpit for a comfortable, high-tech workplace.
In addition to the Panel Van at launch, new Transporter will be available in Kombi, Shuttle and double-cab chassis variants, all either as standard or long wheelbase, guaranteeing customers a wide choice of specification, providing the right vehicle for any business.
When order books open in January 2025, new Transporter will be available in three diesel and two electric powertrains, with a plug-in hybrid drive (eHybrid) arriving in 2026.
All UK customers will receive Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' 5+ Promise Warranty and Service plan as standard, which includes five Services, five years' Warranty and five years' Roadside Assistance.3

Ergonomic high-tech workplace
The new Transporter cockpit has been redesigned with professionals in mind, combining both digital displays and controls with robust hard keys. USB-C and USB-A ports are cleverly laid out in the interior, with the option to add up to three (plug-in hybrid and electric models only) 230V sockets and 12V socket in D-pillar. Also included are an array of standard features – such as the latest 13-inch infotainment display – and advanced safety technology, including Lane Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display and wrong-way driver warning.
1.33 tonnes of payload
The maximum payload is 1.33 tonnes, 0.13 tonnes more than the previous model, and able to tow up to 2.8 tonnes4. The maximum stowage volume in the panel van derivative has also increased by 10% to 5.8m3.
Generous level of standard equipment
The Panel Van Commerce TDI features a generous level of standard equipment, including:
- 16-inch steel wheels
- LED headlights with separate LED daytime running lights
- Black grained bumpers in front and rear
- Power-adjustable and separately heated exterior mirrors
- Rear wing doors
- Sliding door on front passenger side
- Rubber floor covering in cab
- Six-way adjustable driver seat, with manually adjustable two-way lumbar support
- Multi-function steering wheel
- 12-inch digital drivers display
- 13-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Wireless App Connect and DAB radio
- Cruise control system with predictive speed limited
- Rear parking sensors
- Electronic engine immobiliser
- Keyless Start without SAFELOCK
In addition, the Commerce Plus TDI variant adds:
- Body-coloured bumpers in front and rear
- Body-coloured exterior mirror housings and door handles
- Steel spare wheel
- Leatherette-wrapped multi-function steering wheel
- Parking sensors front and rear
- Rear view camera
- Mud flaps in front and rear
- Keyless Start with SAFELOCK
- Anti-theft alarm system, interior monitoring, backup horn, and towing protection
On top of this, the Commerce Pro TDI adds equipment including:
- 16-inch silver alloy wheels 'Montreal'
- Exterior mirrors, power-adjustable, heated and power-folding
- Heated seats, individually controllable
- Single-zone air conditioning system with automatic control in cab
- Wireless mobile phone charging
- Additional USB-C charging ports (1x in dashboard storage compartment, 1x in glove compartment, 1x rear view mirror)
- Adaptive Cruise control system with predictive speed limiter (includes Traffic Jam Assist on automatic gearboxes)
- Blind Spot Assist and exit warning system
- Laminated windshield made of heat-reflecting glass, heated
- Three additional super-bright LED lights in load compartment
- 12-V outlet on D-pillar at the bottom, rear right
In addition to the standard Panel Van Commerce TDI equipment, the Commerce Plus BEV variant adds:
