Hoschton, Ga., March 3, 2014 – Georgia-based DeltaWing Technologies Inc. announced the formation of the company's board of directors. The six-member board includes auto industry, government, and business talent with nearly two centuries cumulative corporate, government and motorsports experience.

DeltaWing Technologies Inc., based in the North Metro-Atlanta community of Hoschton, is an automotive technologies company committed to helping automotive manufacturers advance the future of the automobile and deliver fuel efficient, green technologies that benefit everyday drivers and commuters and reduce oil consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The four cornerstones of its approach are reduced weight, increased powertrain efficiency, decreased energy consumption, and improved aerodynamics. Its mission is to design a vehicle architecture that offers the world's automobile manufacturers the benefits of 35% less fuel consumption and requiring 35% less horsepower, thus translating into much greater efficiency along with substantially lower CO2 emissions.

Don Panoz, Chairman of the Board

Panoz is the founder of Panoz Motor Sport Group; the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) endurance racing series; Élan Technologies; the Panoz Institute at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland; Mylan Pharmaceuticals; and Élan Pharmaceuticals. He also is chairman of the board for NanoLumens, a designer and manufacturer of large-format LED display solutions in any size, shape or curvature, and founded SICOR Inc., a California-based pharmaceutical company. Panoz also founded international resorts such as Chateau Élan in Georgia, The Vintage Golf Club in Australia, Diablo Grande Winery & Resort in California, and St. Andrews Bay Resort and Spa in Scotland. In 2013, Panoz was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, becoming just the 29th inductee and joining entrepreneurs such as Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffet.

Margo Oge, Vice Chairman, Director

Oge most recently served as the director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Transportation and Air Quality. She spent more than 30 years with the EPA and 18 years with the air quality office. Under her leadership, the Office of Transportation and Air Quality brought on board almost all auto manufacturers with the current administration's aim for a fleet-wide average of 54.5 mpg (163 gm/mile CO2) by the 2025 model year to reduce pollution, fuel consumption and save consumers money at the pump. Currently she is a board member of the National Academy of Science (NAS) for Energy and Environment.

Al Speyer, President and COO

Before joining DeltaWing Technologies Inc in September 2013 as president and COO, Speyer amassed a 39-year career at Bridgestone/Firestone, retiring in 2013 as executive director of Motorsports. He directed the company's return to racing in 1993 and oversaw all aspects of the program. During his tenure, the Bridgestone/Firestone brand dominated American open-wheel racing and set new standards for product performance, customer support and overall team image. Firestone brand sales correspondingly made very significant market gains.

Tom Wallace, Director and Head of Engineering

Wallace began his General Motors career as a cooperative student with Buick Motor Division in 1970. He held several engineering positions focusing on engine technology and played a key role in the development of the turbocharged Buick Grand National coupes of the early '80s. Wallace was vehicle line executive for Small/Midsize Trucks prior to being names Corvette chief engineer and vehicle line executive (VLE) for performance cars in January 2006, a position Wallace held until retiring from GM in 2008.

Cuneyt Oge, Director

Oge most recently was a partner with PWC's PRTM Management Consultants, a position he held until his retirement in 2013. He has nearly 35 years of experience consulting to leading firms in North America, Western and Eastern Europe, and South America in strategy and operations. He built PRTM's Automotive, Aerospace Industrial business line and co-led development of its Global Clean Tech Energy business. Previously, Oge was a vice president in A.T. Kearney's automotive practice and a consultant for many years with Booz Allen & Hamilton in Washington, D.C., Cleveland, and Dusseldorf, Germany. He served as a member of the board of directors of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) from 2008 to 2010 and the SAE Foundation board of directors from 2000 to 2008.

Joe Walton, Director

Walton is co-founder, vice president and director of Powercast Corp., a company that develops and markets radio-frequency (RF) energy harvesting and wireless power technology and has also developed sensors that only require a battery change every 25 years. He is a partner of Walton, Mitchell and Company, an investment firm involved at the shareholder and director level in industries ranging from oil and gas to biotechnology. Walton also is a venture capital and private equity consultant and co-drafted the DeltaWing Technologies Inc. business plan.
