ROAD SAFETY FOR YOUNGSTERS AT MUGELLO
Company press release.
Mugello, 5 March – The Mugello circuit continues to play its part in road safety education and the importance of obeying traffic regulations. It recently hosted an event organised by Automobile Club Firenze, aimed at 200 Fourth and Fifth year students from local schools. The students heard talks from rally driver Tobia Cavallini who spoke of his experiences, accentuating the need to obey the rules at the wheel, emphasizing the values of hard work and responsibility, which are essential to driving awareness.
There was also an interesting contribution from the Chief of Traffic Police for North Florence, Andrea Borghi, who illustrated his talk with dynamic reconstruction of road accidents, as well as showing a film exposing the dangers of drink-driving. On the practical side, the students then had a go on a car and a motorcycle simulator, which reproduced emergency and critical road situations. They then put on special glasses that reproduce the effects of alcohol, even when simply walking. Also involved in the initiative was the President of Coni in Tuscany,
