INSIDE ROLLS-ROYCE DOCUMENTARY TO AIR TONIGHT ON CHANNEL 4

Company press release.

INSIDE ROLLS-ROYCE DOCUMENTARY TO AIR TONIGHT ON CHANNEL 4A uniquely candid insight into the work of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will air on Channel 4 (UK) tonight at 2100 GMT.

Filmed over a landmark six-month period, Inside Rolls-Royce captures the extraordinary lengths the dedicated and passionate Rolls-Royce workforce puts in to creating and presenting the world's finest motor cars. The film also tracks the crafting of the Celestial Phantom – the most valuable Bespoke Rolls-Royce ever created.

Alex Innes, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke Designer, is one of the key characters featured in the show. Alex has created Bespoke designs for discerning Rolls-Royce clientele for the last five years, since graduating from Coventry University with a BA (Hons) in Automotive Design. Over the years, Alex has collaborated on exclusive special collections, developed unique features and worked with some of Rolls-Royce's most creative customers around the world.

'I am delighted that Channel 4 was able to capture a key part of such a remarkable year for Rolls-Royce. As we celebrated our first decade at the new Home of Rolls-Royce with the creation of the extraordinary Celestial Phantom, the marque also opened an exciting and bold new chapter with the launch of Wraith,' said Richard Carter, Director of Global Communications, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. 'This film opens our doors like never before; treating viewers to a rare insight into the restless strive for perfection that informs every part of this remarkable British manufacturing success story.'

Following four successive record years, Rolls-Royce Bespoke business has become more successful than ever. Almost 95% of Rolls-Royce motor cars purchased are personalised by their owners, strengthening Rolls-Royce's position as the go-to luxury carmaker for the connoisseur who demands the best in individualisation.

Global Bespoke take-up increased in 2013 as customers for Phantom and Ghost commissioned higher levels of Bespoke content on their cars. In its first year, 90% of Wraiths were purchased with Bespoke options specified by their owners.

2013 saw a high number of Bespoke Collection cars unveiled to the world, the most memorable of which were the Celestial Phantom, the Alpine Trial Centenary Ghost and, of course, the Home of Rolls-Royce Collection.
