AWARD WINNING A.R.E ACCESSORIES F-150 PROJECT TRUCK ON DISPLAY IN DUB EXHIBIT DURING L.A. AUTO SHOW

MASSILLON, Ohio – The imaginative and detailed execution of the A.R.E. Accessories' 2015 Ford F-150 Extreme Sports Project Truck was recognized with both the Ford Project Excellence Award and the 2014 Mothers Choice Award. These national awards were announced during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show.

This Extreme Sports-Themed Project Truck is being displayed in the DUB booth at the Los Angeles Auto show.

The creative concept for the project truck, built by A.R.E and Trent's Trick Upholstery, is designed to showcase the extreme sports lifestyle and create a maximum coolness factor for the Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew® 4x4 pickup truck. Front to back, inside and out, the project truck is radically equipped for adventure, featuring an array of sporty, eye-catching customization elements including an A.R.E. ToolMaster HD fiberglass truck cap, DUB wheels, Rigid Industries light bars, Skyjacker suspension, Bushwacker fender flares and a Lynch Concepts custom gloss/matte paint treatment. In addition, GoPro cameras integrated into the design to help capture and share all of the action.

The interior cab of the truck and the truck cap is outfitted to securely store valuable gear with PickupVault bed storage units, and an awesome sound system featuring Kicker speakers and a Reikken Performance battery provides the ultimate road trip soundtrack.

The annual Ford Project Excellence Award was created to recognize excellence in total project vehicle execution, and a team of Ford experts selected the A.R.E. Extreme Sports truck for the award based on its outstanding appearance and how the aftermarket modifications fit the Ford F-150 brand personality. 'This design brought all the details together to create an outstanding lifestyle showcase that really looked great,' noted Sherry Kollien, Ford's SEMA project vehicle manager.

The project truck was also selected for the top 10 2014 Mothers® Choice Award. Started in 2001 to honor excellence in vehicle design, the awards are presented to the most outstanding SEMA vehicles chosen by a panel of industry judges at the SEMA show. According to Jim Holloway, vice president of Mothers, 'This truck is a prime example of engineering execution, it's obvious that a lot of thought went into it, and while there are a lot of lifted trucks here, this F-150 has unique styling cues throughout that really got our attention and deserve recognition.'
