Ford commissioned Eugene T. Gregorie and his team to redesign the Ford vehicles for 1941, built atop a new frame with a larger, deep X-member that was both stronger and stiffer. The vertically pointed grille became more of a curvaceous horizontal facade, and the body was refined. They used revised body mountings where the rubber isolation was eliminated in favor of a tighter connection with the body to enhance the frame's stiffness. For the DeLuxe series, five body styles were available, including two coupes, two-door and four-door sedans, and a station wagon. Among the standard features on the DeLuxe series were Ebody grain dashboard, glove box lock, dual wipers and sun visors.

Auction entries : 2Ford continued to offer their models in Standard and Deluxe trim levels, with the latter distinguished by a higher level of equipment. From 1938, Ford gave the costlier Deluxe more elaborate frontal styling. The Super Deluxe trim level was introduced in 1941 and received even more trim and accouterments including additional lower grills hugging the center one. The wheelbase measured 114-inches and the length was 194.3-inches. The six-cylinder engine displaced 225.8 cubic inches and had four main bearings, a Ford one-barrel carburetor, mechanical valve lifters, and delivered 90 horsepower at 3,300 RPM with 180 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 RPM. The 221 cubic-inch V8 engine had a Ford two-barrel downdraft carburetor, three main bearings, mechanical valve lifters, and delivered 90 horsepower at 3,800 RPM. Both engines used a three-speed sliding gear transmission with column controls. Stopping power was courtesy of hydraulic brakes on four wheels. The 255,504 examples of the DeLuxe models accounted for approximately 37% of Ford's total production. Prices of the Deluxe ranged from $730 to $965.
