1972 Lamborghini Jarama Navigation
For 1972, the Lamborghini lineup consisted of four models including the Espada, the Miura S, the Jarama GT and the P250 Urraco. The Jarama GT was the company's Grand Touring model. It featured front engine and rear wheel drive design in similar fashion to its predecessor, the 350/500 GT and the Islero GT. Power was from a 3.9-liter V12 engine rated at 350 horsepower and backed by a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 2+2 seating, a luxurious and comfortable interior, the Jarama GT is best described as a gentleman's Lamborghini. Even Ferruccio Lamborghini himself chose a Jarama as his personal car.
The styling was masculine and elegant with a large expanse of glass area giving it a panoramic effect for the driver and front passenger. It had a low belt line and the front wheel arches were extremely tall, nearly touching the top of the front fender line. The wheels were sourced from the Mirua, each with five air vents and a knock-off hub assembly.
Lamborghini built 172 examples of the first generation Jarama GT and 156 from the second generation Jarama GTS.
This particular example has just 40,380 miles on the odometer and has undergone a recent mechanical service. It has a wood steering wheel, owner's manual, partial tool kit, and a blue exterior with black leather interior.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2016
