1973 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was introduced in 1966 and remained in production until 1980. It replaced the Silver Cloud and offered a stylish and more modern platform, with its unibody construction, hydraulically-actuated four-wheel disc brakes, and four-wheel independent suspension. Its overhead-valve V8 engine was carried over from the earlier model but enlarged to displace 6,750cc and given revised cylinder heads. Horsepower was in the neighborhood of 200 bhp, but in keeping with Rolls-Royce's tradition, its actual output was never released. The engine was mated to a General Motors' three-speed automatic transmission, offering a smooth and quiet ride.
