The Mitsubishi Eclipse received new styling for 1995, become more round, curvy, and sleeker. Four trim levels were available including the base RS, GS, GS-T, and the GSX. The engine in the RS and GS was a dual-overhead cam four-cylinder unit displacing 121.8 cubic-inches and offering 140 horsepower. For customers seeking more horsepower, the GS-T and the GSX were fitted with a turbocharger and intercooler, bringing horsepower to 210 BHP. A five-speed manual or four-speed automatic was available. Disc brakes were in the front with drums in the rear, except for the GS, GS-T, and GSX which had four-wheel discs. Pricing began at $14,400 for the RS hatchback and rose to nearly $23,000 for the GSX.
