1923 Ford Model T

The Ford line received a restyling in June of 1923 with the open cars receiving a new higher radiator and a larger hood. The front fenders were modified slightly with a lip on the front of the apron which tied its design with the new valence located under the radiator. On the Fordor Sedan, the lower body panels were now steel, replacing the aluminum components.

The Coupe and Centerdoor Sedan were replaced with a new Coupe and new Tudor Sedan. The new Tudor Sedan had had doors at the front of the body instead of at the center.

Powering the Model T was an L-head four-cylinder engine that displaced 176.7 cubic-inches and produced 20 horsepower. They had a 2-speed planetary transmission with multiple disk clutch (25 discs). Braking was by a contracting band in the transmission, there were hand-operated external expanding brakes on the rear wheels, and a foot brake that stopped that driveshaft. There was also a parking brake on the two rear wheels.
