The Oldsmobile Series X was powered by a four-cylinder engine which displaced 302 cubic-inches and offered 32 horsepower. They had a three-speed sliding gear transmission, driveshaft brake, and two-wheel mechanical brakes. The parking brake acts on the rear wheel drum brakes, and the foot-pedal brakes act on the drive-shaft drum. This Model X3 Oldsmobile has been given a complete, nut-and-bolt restoration. The four-cylinder engine has jug-type cylinders cast in pairs. The bottom half of the engine is cast aluminum with a cast-aluminum oil pan, an oil pump and a water pump. The frame is steel, and the body is all wood. The wheels are wood-spoke artillery type.
