Volvo Announces April Sales
May 2, 2017 by VolvoROCKLEIGH, N.J. (May 2, 2017) - Volvo Car USA, LLC, (VCUSA) reported U.S. sales of 7,121 vehicles for the month of April, a 15.4 percent increase versus April 2016. The top seller for the month was the XC90 with 2,349 vehicles sold, followed by the XC60 with 2,046 vehicles sold, a 40.5 percent increase versus April 2016. 'We continue to face strong global demand on XC90,' said Lex Kerssemakers, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. 'We are just starting to see the first signs of improved availability in the US market, which will progressively increase throughout the year.' Volvo is implementing a sweeping $11 billion transformation plan that has involved the development of its own modular vehicle architecture, a new engine range, global manufacturing capability, a completely renewed product range and world leading developments in safety, autonomous driving and connectivity.
