1964 Plymouth Valiant

The 1964 Plymouth Valiant was a very versatile vehicle offered in three different series and several different body styles including a 2- and 4-door sedan, station wagon, and convertible. The base engine was an overhead valve 170 cubic-inch six-cylinder unit offering just over 100 horsepower and backed by a three-speed manual transmission.

The Valiant was divided into three series, the V-100, V-200, and the Signet. The Valiant V-100 received styling changes for 1964, including a new grille with horizontal bars and a medallion placed in the center. In the back, the taillight treatment was re-done. Standard options included a heater, defroster, turn signals, courtesy lights, front door armrests, and vinyl trim. Buyers could purchase the V-100 with an optional 273 CID V8. Bodystyles on the V-100 Series including a 2- and 4-door sedan, and station wagon.

The Valiant V-200 included all the same body styles found in the V-100, plus a convertible. They had upgraded trim and molding, a triangle badge on the deck lid centerline, and metal roof gutter rails. They also had full wheel covers, special upholstery, and deluxe carpeting, armrests, and cigarette lighter.
