1986 BMW E30 M3 Navigation
The M3, launched in 1986, was the first purpose built BMW saloon designed specifically for racing. These were 'homologation specials' that had a track and wheelbase optimized for racing. Improvements were made throughout the vehicle, including fully optimized brakes and suspension. Bodystyles initially included a coupe, with a convertible soon added to the lineup.
