2025 Morgan Supersport Navigation

Introducing Supersport, the new Morgan flagship. An evolution of design and dynamics in equal measure, Supersport confidently introduces a new level of usability, refinement and driving engagement to the Morgan range.

Continuing the company's core design philosophy of celebrating functional design and mechanical honesty, Supersport represents a new generation of Morgan sports car. Redefined proportions, greater intelligence of surfacing and reduced complexity create a more contemporary design language whilst ensuring Supersport remains unmistakably a Morgan.

Supersport's evolved level of dynamic sophistication is achieved thanks to its new CXV aluminium platform. This new level of dynamism hones the analogue driving experience synonymous with Morgan sports cars, giving driver's greater feel and a deeper connection to the vehicle.

2025 Morgan SupersportÚsability is enhanced thanks to an interchangeable soft and hard top roof, rear boot and side screen mounting mechanism. Furthermore, the interior features Bluetooth connectivity with handsfree calling, an enhanced Sennheiser audio system and wireless mobile phone charging.

Supersport represents an evolution of Morgan's functional design philosophy, presenting a contemporary study of the brand's timeless silhouette, yet one that is instantly recognisable as a Morgan. This philosophy prioritises design honesty, requiring many elements of the vehicle to have multiple functions. No single era is reflected in Supersport's design. Instead, multiple eras and inspirations are referenced and rearranged to create something new, yet with timeless appeal.

Greater levels of intelligence to the surfacing and a minimalist, de-cluttered approach, contribute to Supersport's contemporary aesthetic. The evolved silhouette features a more aerodynamic form, lifted volumes in the front and rear wings communicate the vehicle's enhanced performance. This evolved silhouette is designed for Supersport but first previewed on the company's limited-run barchetta, Midsummer – which was first presented in May 2024.

The flowing aluminium bodywork – each panel of which is hand-crafted by skilled artisans – is intentionally 'clashed' with the visual cues of the technical, precise and engineered platform of the vehicle, the satin grey painted aluminium sills, rear diffuser and front splitter. These elements visually communicate the chassis changes and advanced engineering that underpins Supersport. This intentional clash of flowing, sculpted bodywork with the technical underpinnings embodies Morgan's philosophy of 21st Century Coachbuilding.

From the front, Supersport's distinctive front splitter neatly integrates with the 'horseshoe' cowl. Whilst familiar in its shape, the cowl features a minimalistic mesh centre section. The cowl surround is finished in satin chrome as standard, a dark finish is available as part of the 'Dark Accent Pack'.

The splitter, which is always finished in dark matte grey, is framed by two 'overriders' situated in the upper corners. Available in satin chrome or dark finish to match the cowl surround, these overriders are a refreshed interpretation of traditional overriders, prominent on period Morgan sports cars. Integrated 8' LED headlights house the front indicators, further reducing the requirement for additional lighting pods.

In profile, Supersport's new shoulder line is immediately apparent. Created by a raised door height and lifted tail, the shoulder line adds a 'third line' to the timeless silhouette that can trace its origins back to the first four-wheeled Morgan in 1936.

An asymmetric indent within the scuttle panel is located next to the centrally hinged bonnets, allowing the interface between the bonnet and scuttle to act as a vent for air into the HVAC (heating, ventilation and cooling) system, utilising the high-pressure zone in front of the windscreen. Similarly, on the side of each bonnet, the interface with the scuttle panel is again used to create a large 'air-off' vent for the engine bay. These take the place of vents or louvres previously applied directly to the bonnet panels, further allowing for an uninterrupted free-flowing panel. Discreet bonnet catches are seamlessly integrated and make opening and closing easier.

From the rear, Supersport's dramatic sweeping tail and boot are most evident. LED rear lights and reflectors sit within the rear diffuser, ensuring the rear wings remain uninterrupted. The centrally mounted fog and reverse lights remain almost invisible when not in use, and are flanked by the vehicle's twin exhaust pipes. Available with silver or black tips, Supersport's active sports exhaust has been tuned specifically for the model.

Rear overriders, which match those at the front of the vehicle, provide the mounting points for an optional laser cut aluminium luggage rack. The luggage rack, available in satin silver or satin dark grey, hinges rearwards to allow for the boot to open.

Supersport is the first new Morgan to feature a boot in more than a decade. Operated using the remote central locking key, it provides ample room for sidescreen stowage and overnight bags. Lined with matching box weave carpet to the interior, a singular section of lacquered ash is deliberately exposed once the boot is opened to communicate the vehicle's unique use of the material in its construction.

Located on the boot's outer aluminium panel is a raised Morgan wordmark written in 'HFS' font, the company's own typeface which is inspired by the letters used in the first Morgan wings logo from 1909.

2025 Morgan SupersportCreated by the company's in-house graphic designers, the 'HFS' font is also utilised on the analogue dials. Featuring a mid-century inspired dished facia, Supersport's dials feature numerals in Morgan's signature 'HFS' font that are delicately pad-printed around the face. Dramatic rim lighting shows the depth and shape of each dial, which further highlights elongated bright silver 'sword point' hands.

Supersport's dials are manufactured by Caerbont, the original manufacturer of Smith's dials in the ÚK, and while analogue in their design the dials are controlled by the latest CAN (Controller Area Network) and LIN (Local Interconnect Network) communication technology.

The new Supersport is presented in two distinct guises thanks to its interchangeable carbon composite hard top and mohair folding roof. Weighing just 19.7kg, the removable hard top is finished in matching body colour paint, integrating seamlessly with the design of the body.

The hard top is fitted with a large, curved glass rear screen providing a vast daylight opening that floods the cabin with light, further connecting occupants to the environment around them whilst offering all the benefits of a hard top.

The folding mohair soft top transforms Supersport into a stripped-back convertible, delivering the 'wind in your hair' trademark sensation that has been exhilarating Morgan drivers for decades. The mohair roof is available in a choice of colour variants and is supplied with a cover for fitment whilst driving.

Supersport's slimmer removable 'sidescreens' remain consistent with previous Morgan models in their immediate appearance, whilst a new precision mounting system makes them easier to operate, more precise in their fitment and sealing, and removes the need for visual fixings. The screens are released using the interior door latch, which when pushed forward releases the sidescreen to be lifted away from the door. The mohair lower section of the sidescreen is trimmed to match the colour choice of the roof, whilst the aluminium upper section is finished in a choice of satin silver or satin dark grey.

Inside, new doors cards – which have been restyled alongside the taller door tops – take inspiration from mid-century audio equipment and house Morgan's signature 'louvred' speaker grille, framed by a decorative wooden panel. Available in a choice of 11 different finishes, from engineered marquetry to traditional walnut, the wood on the door card coordinates with the centre console and lower dash rail.

Supersport prioritises driving enjoyment over a blind pursuit of brake horsepower, achieving a greater level of connection between driver and vehicle thanks to its new, lightweight CXV aluminium platform.

Key advances from the previous 'CX' platform makes Supersport more refined, capable and balanced, whilst retaining the undiluted Morgan driving experience. The CXV Platform builds on the success of the previous CX Generation Aluminium Platform, which was first introduced in 2019 – the company's 110th year – underpinning the Plus Six.

The CXV Platform is designed to further utilise the performance of the BMW B58 TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, which produces 335bhp and is connected to a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. The use of a BMW engine within the company's range-topping model continues a successful 25-year partnership between the Malvern and Munich that began with the Aero 8 in 2000.

2025 Morgan SupersportThe enhanced platform weighs just 102kg, including front and rear subframes, and delivers an overall increase of 10% torsional rigidity to the vehicle – this is increased by a further 10% when the optional carbon fibre hard top is fitted. Certain suspension mounting points benefit from an almost 100% increase in rigidity, for a more predictable vehicle response.

A new steering system, which features revised steering shaft routing, has been honed to enhance steering feedback and response. This is paired with an increased steering speed of 13% over the outgoing six-cylinder model.

The new suspension setup delivers a compliant ride alongside improved body control. The revised suspension geometry combined with front and rear anti-roll bars as standard provide a level of handling sophistication beyond any previous Morgan sports car.

An optional Dynamic Handling Pack, which features adjustable front and rear Nitron dampers, has valving and spring rates that have been tuned specifically for Supersport to provide optimum performance. 24 clicks of damping adjustment allow the driver to refine the ride to their own taste. This, when coupled with the optional Limited-slip Differential, helps to further transform the vehicle's dynamic capability.

Two new wheel designs represent the lightest alloy wheels Morgan has ever created. A new standard 18-inch flow formed aluminium 'Superlite' wheel weighs just 10.8kg per corner. Optional 19-inch forged aluminium 'Aerolite' wheels weigh just 9.7kg per corner, a significant reduction in unsprung mass compared to the 'Multispoke' wheels – which weigh 13.8kg per corner – that have featured on previous models. Each wheel is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, selected for their wet weather grip and enhanced driver feedback.

Supersport's evolved design is more aerodynamically efficient than previous six-cylinder models. Útilising computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology to influence the design surfacing and underbody has resulted in a 5% reduction in drag, a 20% reduction in lift, and improved aerodynamic balance.

Integrating technology seamlessly into its vehicles – both in their construction and in the occupant experience – is a key tenet of Morgan's product development philosophy. From its enhanced Sennheiser audio to new phone connectivity, Supersport introduces relevant technology that aids usability without detracting from the visual appeal of the interior.

The enhanced Sennheiser audio system provides a high-fidelity audio experience, featuring a high dynamic range and loudness levels to match the driving experience, ensuring clear and balanced sound.

The system is designed to offer a tight and focussed low end, with the soundstage expanding in width as the frequencies rise. It utilises lightweight and efficient actuators in the dashboard for higher frequencies, moving-coil drivers in each door for mid-range reproduction, and a ported subwoofer behind the seats for low-end and sub frequencies. Additionally, actuators in each seat enhance the bass sensation, allowing occupants to feel the music.

Útilising pioneering actuators ensures that the system remains lightweight, allowing for high-quality audio without adding additional weight to the vehicle.

Supersport is the first Morgan to feature hands-free calling. Connected via the existing Bluetooth architecture, three microphones – discreetly housed within the centre console – utilise beamforming technology to focus on specific sound sources and reduce background noise. This, combined with an amplifier that uses active noise cancelling and echo cancellation algorithms, enables a phone conversation to be held in perfect clarity whilst travelling with the roof down.

Both the Sennheiser audio system and hands-free calling system are controlled by a multi-function dial situated on the dashboard and a button on the left indicator stalk. Corresponding information including Track ID and Caller is shown on the LCD screen located in-between the analogue dials.

The centre console now features a discreet storage tray which houses wireless charging for compatible smartphones.

Supersport combines Morgan's signature blend of traditional craftsmanship and appropriate modern technology, a philosophy which the company refers to as '21st Century Coachbuilding'. This philosophy flows throughout the company and influences its approach to designing and engineering each model, as well as the way in which every vehicle is constructed.

Each aluminium body is hand-formed over an ash wood frame. This body, which is beautifully made using age-old techniques handed down through generations, is seamlessly married to an the aluminium platform with the latest braking, suspension, and electronic systems. 60% of the aluminium used within the chassis and body of Supersport is made from recycled material.

The finest Scottish leather, itself a by-product of the food and agricultural sectors, is used sparingly within the cockpit of Supersport. Whilst the latest laser scanning technology is used to ensure the greatest quality, each leather hide is trimmed into each car using traditional techniques and tools. By the nature of the model's hand-crafted manufacture, natural materials are used sparingly with minimal waste produced.

Supersport is a word that has appeared in Morgan's model nomenclature since 1927 to denote a model of increased sporting capability. Traditionally, the word has been used with an 's' on the end and has followed a core model name, both on three and four-wheeled Morgan models.

Like every Morgan, Supersport allows customers to create a vehicle that is a true one-off, and a reflection of their own personality. Beyond the almost endless combination of colourways and options available to configure, prospective owners can go beyond this and request additional materials and features for their Supersport. Customer's have the opportunity to specify their Supersport with the support of the designers who conceived it, utilising their expertise and experience.

Supersport is homologated for Morgan's ÚK, European and ROW markets. Available to order now, the first dealer demonstrator and customer orders will go into build imminently. Prospective clients can expect to test drive Supersport at their nearest Morgan dealership from mid-April, and are encouraged to register interest with their nearest Morgan dealership or via the official Morgan website.
