Driving with HR Owen, Chris Froggatt achieved a sensational pole position in the Pirelli AM category, after starting the race from the second row surrounded by drivers from the more experienced Trofeo Pirelli Pro class. During the race, Chris was actually passed by Sam Smeeth, who races with Stratstone Ferrari and who won the race at Silverstone in 2014, but a technical problem part way through the race forced Sam to retire his car. This allowed Chris the clear track to pull ahead of his rivals in Pirelli AM and finish the race in an excellent 4th position overall, but 1st in his category, 6 seconds ahead of Jens Liebhauser who races with Formula Racing.
