MITSUBISHI MOTORS RAISES $46,200 FOR MS SOCIETY WITH DONATION OF LANCER EVOLUTION FINAL EDITION US0001

◾First Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition was auctioned on eBay

◾All proceeds from the winning bid benefit the National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today announced that after a 10-day long auction of the first Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition, 0001 of 1,600 produced for the US market, Brooklyn Mitsubishi in Brooklyn, New York won the auction with a bid of $46,200. All proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter. The auction concluded live at the 29th annual MS Dinner in San Diego on Nov. 21 where Mitsubishi Motors was the title sponsor.

'This donation from Mitsubishi Motors far exceeded our expectations,' said Richard Israel, President, National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter. 'Through their sponsorship and unprecedented donation we will be able to contribute to MS research that is committed to stopping MS, restoring lost function and ending MS, while we ensure that people affected by multiple sclerosis are surrounded with the resources and support they need to move forward and be more powerful than the challenges of MS.'

The legendary sports sedan, a true testament to Mitsubishi's advanced technology and engineering, is ending its run after 10 years. Each of the 1,600 final edition models manufactured will incorporate a unique numbered plaque and features a 5-speed transmission paired with a turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0L engine, making the Final Edition the most powerful mass-produced Lancer Evolution ever built with 303 horsepower. The Final Edition is based off the current GSR model and features lightweight two-piece Brembo® brake rotors up front, accompanied by Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach springs at all four corners and Mitsubishi's innovative and unmatched Super All-Wheel Control system.

Given Mitsubishi's long-standing involvement with and support of the National MS Society, it was only fitting the company donate the first Lancer Evolution Final Edition off the production line for the U.S. market, to the organization.
