UK's Rarest Classics For Auction With CCA

•CCA offers some of the rarest classics left in the UK at auction

Classic Car Auctions (CCA) will offer enthusiasts the chance to own some of the rarest classics to be found in the UK at its upcoming sale at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show Sale on 24th and 25th March.

Among the lot list of over 160 cars for sale, a number of classics rarely seen on today's roads will offer buyers the chance to own highly collectible, low production or last remaining survivors from their favourite manufactures.

An early, right-hand drive 1951 Lancia Aurelia B10 Berlina is believed to be the only example of its kind in the UK. Originally sold in Australia, the car was imported to the UK in 2015 and gradually restored and upgraded over the years. Estimated at £18,000 to £20,000, it is even eligible for the Mille Miglia.

Another extremely rare car for sale is the 1975 Iso-Rivolta IR6 Lele Sport, an ultra-stylish Bertone designed sportscar, of which only eleven right-hand drive examples were ever made. Reading just 34,000 miles, this well maintained, Italian rarity comes with a comprehensive history file and is estimated at £40,000 to £45,000.

Fans of more experimental design should earmark the 1975 Firenza 2.3 'Droopsnoot', a rare survivor of Vauxhall's brave design directions from the mid-seventies, of which only 204 were ever made. Mostly original and supplied with all of its old MOTs, it is estimated at £12,000 to £15,000.

Gary Dunne, sales manager, Classic Car Auctions, said: 'We've scoured the country for rare classics and we've uncovered some very special cars, some of which are so scarce that there's literally only a handful left in existence.'

Auction goers seeking a rare project car have the opportunity to own a 1973 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 project car, of which a mere 133 models were ever produced in right-hand drive. Reading just 35,000 miles and with a desirable '444 REV' number plate, it is estimated at £30,000 to £35,000.

Other rare classics in the auction include a 1974 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1.6 of which only 27 are believed to be on the UK's roads, a pair of 1972 Alfa Montreals believed to be two of just 33 left and a 1978 Mini 1275 GT believed to be one of 82 remaining. A one-off 1960 Volvo PV544 Sport historic rally car will also be offered at the auction.
