Larger battery option and pricing changes introduced for Citroën ë-Relay Range

Citroën updates new ë-Relay Electric with introduction of larger 75kWh battery, replacing the outgoing 70kWh unit.

The new battery provides new ë-Relay Electric with up to 15 extra miles of range, allowing for a full range of up to 154 miles (WLTP).

Larger battery will be available alongside the existing 37kWh option, providing a broad choice of options for businesses looking to go 100% electric.

At the same time as battery improvements new ë-Relay 4-tonne models also enjoy a basic MRRP reduction of £8,770.

3.5-tonne model pricing remains unchanged from the 70kWh models despite the move to a larger battery – providing a real customer benefit.

Citroën has updated its new ë-Relay Electric van range to offer customers a larger 75kWh battery. Introduced across both 3.5 and 4-tonne models the new battery replaces the 70kWh capacity previously available. The new, larger brings with it an improvement in range of up to 15 extra miles, allowing drivers to travel up to 154 miles (WLTP).

The new 75kWh battery is coupled with a 120hp electric motor with maximum torque of 260Nm delivering instant responsiveness with no vibrations and a smooth driving experience. The increased battery size allows drivers to benefit from more miles without reducing the practical capacity of new ë-Relay Electric, with up to 15m³ of load volume and 1,100kg of payload.

Available to order now, new 75kWh Citroën ë-Relay models also offer customers better value, in line with the brand's 'Fair Pricing' policy. 3.5-tonne models will see no increase in price when moving from a 70kWh to a 75kWh unit whilst 4-tonne models will receive an £8,770 reduction in basic MRRP, as a result of reduced component costs. First deliveries for new Citroën ë-Relay 75kWh models are anticipated from Q3 2022.

The reduced basic pricing of the vehicle coupled with the Plug-in Van Grant of up to £5,000 allows 4-tonne versions to benefit from a basic MRRP excluding VAT from £61,535, placing the vehicle in a highly competitive position.
