2008 PPI PS TT

The history of PPI Automotive Design is inextricably linked with the Audi TT. The PPI RS TT was the name given to the first generation of Audi TTs tuned by PPI, which became the top seller and foundation for the success of this Audi tuning specialist from Swabia, Germany. With the PPI PS TT, PPI is now following up on this success story, and is presenting the second generation. Equipped with an innovative and sporty design, you might be tempted to think that interior values would only play an inferior role. Fresh design in proven quality

Needless to say, in developing the PPI PS TT, utmost attention has also been paid to ensuring its aerodynamic efficiency. By way of example, the body kit components have been perfectly coordinated with each other. The result is a lift-reducing, custom design with perfect surface quality. One component of the body kit is the sporty and dynamic front apron. The integrated front lip channels the air to cooling inlets and makes the car look lower on the ground.

A striking eye-catching feature and aerodynamic aide at the front end is the innovative windscreen spoiler. The PPI side sills provide a visual link between the front and rear end. These not only reduce the air stream between the axles, but also lend the PPI PS TT a powerful look, even when stationary. PPI has developed a rear diffuser specifically for the original rear apron. This accommodates the four tailpipes of the PPI sport exhaust system and, in conjunction with the rear spoiler I, produces additional downforce at the rear axle. A multi-piece rear spoiler II made from carbon fibre is also available as an option. Further carbon fibre trim components, such as the door mirror housing and the tail panel fascias, complete the aerodynamic package.

To meet the specific requirements of the PPI PS TT, PPI offers a combination for significantly enhanced handling, plus an exclusive visual appearance. The black, single-piece PPI Formula wheel in the dimension 8.5 x 19 ET 48 lends the vehicle an aggressive look. Michelin Pilot Sport2 size 235/35 ZR19 tyres provide the guarantee for perfect grip. Lowering the car's centre of gravity by 30 mm by fitting PPI sports springs also enhances the handling significantly. A sports braking system with larger discs and multi-piston brake callipers is already undergoing trials.

One highlight of the interior is the newly designed – in terms of its ergonomics – PPI 'Identity' sports steering wheel. Thanks to its new shape, it is far easier to grip, whilst still offering all the functions of the production steering wheel.
