1974 Buick LeSabre

The Buick LeSabre entered 1974 with several noticeable exterior modifications and updates. The front grille traveled from one side of the car and ran below and in-between the headlamp bezels. The headlights resting within square bezels that were separated by a body-colored panel. Buick redesigned the front gravel pan, giving it twin horizontal slots on both sides of a central pan and fitting horizontal parking lamps on the outboard ends. The rear end design was slanted, angled gently towards the ground, giving it a sweptback look.

The Buick name could be found on the upper grille shell header bar and the LeSabre lettering was placed at the trailing edge of the rear fenders.

Body styles included a sedan, hardtop sedan, and a hardtop coupe. The Luxus trim levels added a sedan, hardtop coupe and sedan, and a convertible. Two estate wagons were available, including a 6- and 9-passengers. Pricing began at $4,355 for the base level Sedan and rose to $4,480 for the Hardtop Sedan. The Luxus pricing ranged from $4,460 for the sedan to $4,700 for the Convertible. The 9-passenger station wagon was the most expensive body style, selling for $5,160. The most popular body style was the Luxus Hardtop Coupe which found 27,243 buyers.

Standard features including power front disc brakes, power steering, Turbo-Hydra-Matic transmission, inside hood release, full-foam seats, carpeting, Accu Drive, full-flow ventilation, time modulated choke, EGR system, semi-closed cooling system, ashtrays in both the front and rear, Deluxe steering wheels, and recessed wipers. Other standard items included a glovebox light, automatic interior lamp, bumper guard stops, carpeting, and a two-barrel 350 cubic-inch V8 engine.

Luxus trim levels had a custom steering wheel, vinyl notchback seats on all body styles except the convertibles, Luxus trim, Deluxe wheel covers, and a four-barrel 350 CID V8 powerplant.
