1952 Chrysler Saratoga

Chrysler used the Saratoga nameplate from 1939 to 1952 and from 1957 to 1960 in the United States market. It continued to adorn Chrysler automobiles in Canada through 1965, and in Europe from 1989 to 1995.

When World War II came to a close and peacetime resumed, the Saratoga nameplate continued to be a part of the Chrysler model lineup. It was the company's least expensive eight-cylinder model offered in a wide array of body styles.

The 1952 Chrysler Saratoga was similar to the 1951 model year. The most visual change was to the tail lamp design which had an integral backup lamp. There were several body styles to select from, including a club coupe, a sedan, a long-wheelbase sedan, and a town and country wagon. In total, 45,500 examples were produced (1951 and 1952 combined totals as Chrysler did not provide breakouts). Power was from an overhead V8 engine with a hemispherical combustion chamber that displaced 331.1 cubic inches and offered 180 horsepower. Pricing ranged from $3,180 for the club coupe to $4,180 for the long-wheelbase sedan.
