1980 Volvo 240 Series Navigation
The Volvo 240 Series was brought to the United States market beginning in 1975. It came in two- and four-door sedan versions, plus a station wagon. Powering the 1980 version was an overhead-cam 130 cubic-inch four-cylinder powerplant that provided nearly 100 horsepower. It was given a four-speed manual gearbox as standard equipment or an optional three-speed automatic. The steering was a rack-and-pinion setup with disc brakes at all four corners. For 1980, Volvo sold 169,566 vehicles in the United States.
