1976 Buick Electra Navigation
The 1976 Buick Electra came as a coupe or four-door hardtop in 225 and Limited trim levels. In the front was a new grille with large Buick block letters and an 'Electra' script at the side. The grille no longer extended below the quad headlights. Along the side ran four 'port holes' which helped distinguish them from their three port hole LeSabre sibling. The full-size Electra was a well-equipped vehicle with standard equipment that included a Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, a digital clock and power windows. The 455 cubic-inch V8 improved its fuel economy rating by 3 mpg. The fuel economy improvement was due to a reduction in weight, a better axle ratio, increased spark advance, improved carburetion, and a new crankshaft. The Buick Electra 225 Series four-door hardtop came standard with a cloth bench seat, cloth notchback seat, or vinyl notchback seat. The coupe options included cloth or vinyl notchback seats.
The Electra Limited hardtop sedan could be purchased with the Park Avenue edition package, which added a vinyl roof, thick carpeting, and velour upholstery. Landau tops could be purchased in a new style or the traditional style. Options on the Electra Limited included variable-delay windshield wipers and an automatic door locking system that was operated when the gear selector was moved out of the Park position.

The Limited models were given a cloth 60/40 notchback seat with two-way power and a fold-down center armrest. A dome reading light was included in the Limited Sedan. On the outside were wide rocker appearance moldings.
