• EV6 GT wins 'Performance Car' category thanks to its blend of high performance, handling prowess, and ease of use
•Consecutive trophies for Kia and the Kia EV6 in annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards
The Kia EV6 GT has been named 'Performance Car of the Year' at the 2023 Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) Awards.
Voted for by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), the SCOTY Awards celebrate the stand-out new cars each year. This is the second consecutive award from the ASMW for the EV6, with the standard model named 'Best EV over £40,000' in the 2022 awards.
The EV9 GT is powered by a fully electric dual-motor setup, producing 577bhp and 740Nm torque and accelerating the car from 0-to-62mph in just 3.5 seconds – faster than many more expensive performance cars.
Built on Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) technology, it also offers the long range and rapid charging required for a true 'grand touring' ownership experience. It offers impressive driving range of up to 263 miles (WLTP combined cycle), while its 800V ultra-fast charging technology enables it to charge from 10-to-80 per cent in just 18 minutes from the fastest public chargers.*
The EV6 GT is priced from £62,645 and available to order from Kia dealers across the UK, with Kia's seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty as standard.

The ASMW's jury commented: 'We were bowled over by the high performance and handling prowess of the EV6 GT, but also its abundant quality and all-round ease of use. It's a powerful car that you can realistically use every day. This potent combination makes the EV6 GT an obvious winner of the 'Performance Car of the Year' award.'
