1912 Garford Six-Fifty G-14

The Garford Company of Elyria, Ohio grew out of Federal Mfg Company which began to manufacture automobile components in 1903. Companies using the Garford chassis included Ardsley, Gaeth, Cleveland, Royal, Rainier, and Studebaker. Garford supplied all chassis components for Studebaker from 1905-1910.

In 1912 the Garford Company was purchased by Willys-Overland. 1913 was the marques curtain call, although Garford trucks were produced until 1935.

This 1912 Garford seven-passenger touring car is the lone survivor, acquired by Harrah's in 1969 and subjected to a three-year restoration.

The car has a six-cylinder engine with a 4.25 x 5.25 bore and stroke, generating 50 horsepower. It has a 139-inch wheelbase. It has mechanical two-wheel brakes. The original selling price was $4500.
